5 out of 5 stars Awesome book!   November 10, 2005
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

I have just started reading this book this morning, and have not been able to put it down. If you were to read the 1st chapter alone, you would know what I'm talking about. His life as a missionary is captured in an easy to read yet captivating way, that will inspire every Christian to remember the reason why we are on this earth.
At every chapter you will find questions which will allow the reader to become more engaged, not just in the words of this book, but with the calling that God has given every believer to go and make disciples. Very inspiring! -- Danielle W.

5 out of 5 stars Vietnam From A Different Perspective   November 10, 2005
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Each chapter is a separate experience during the Vietnam War years. Each experience presents a moral, ethical, missiological, or spiritual dilemma. The dilemma is summarized at the end of each chapter with several key questions regarding the dillema such as, "What would I do in this situation?" or "What would have been the right thing to do?" etc. The book is powerful and gives a very different perspective on Vietnam, the place, the culture, and its people. It is a compelling story!!
