Product Description
Dr. John Dee (1527-1608) was one of the greatest minds of the Elizabethan Age, and his system of angelic communication was the result of the most dramatic magical operation ever recorded. It has survived to become the cornerstone of the modern ceremonial magicians practice. In 1582 Dee and his clairvoyant partner Edward Kelley made magical contact with a number of spiritual entities who identified themselves as angels the same that communicated with Adam, Enoch, and the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Over the next three years they revealed to Dee and Kelley three distinct magical systems of vision magick. The third and last of these incorporated a series of "calls" to be recited in an angelic language in order to raise the consciousness of the magician to a level where angelic contact is possible. Best-selling author and magician, Lon Milo DuQuette, who has practiced Dees system for over twenty-five years, has seized upon elements of the original Dee material overlooked by adepts of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and other modern magicians, and brought them to light in Enochian Vision Magick. DuQuette offers the expert and novice alike the practical means by which they can become attuned in the same simple step-by-step manner that first prepared Dee and Kelley. There has never been a book on Enochian magick like this one.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Practical Book on Magick Ever Published!   November 24, 2008
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

This has to be the best practical book on Magic ever published. Lon Milo DuQuette is considered the world's foremost magus and his books are considered to be the most accurate, understandable, and practical. Lon is following in the tradition of Crowley and Regardi by bringing an innovative approach to magic and making it understandable and applicable to the general public. He takes the complicated system of Dr. John Dee and simplifies it so anyone can practice Enochian magic. You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars buying books on magic and spending years to figure out how to apply them.

In my opinion, this is the number one book on magic and both the newcomer to this field and the experienced magus would find this book indispensable. It is also great reading so even if you do not want to practice magic, this book will explain the system to you and give you the necessary understanding of this interesting field.

What is so unique about this book and Lon's genius is that he has taken the magic of Dr John Dee and for the first time, applied it in the way no other person has so far. He has discovered the secret of the magical system of Dr. Dee.

This book will go down as a classic of magick. Bravo to Lon for bringing the practice of magic to anyone interested and deciphering how to actually use Dr. John Dee's system of magick.

4 out of 5 stars Best Beginner Enochian Work   November 10, 2008

I just wanted to take a moment to state that this is by far and away the best work written, that I have read, for someone just getting into Enochian. It takes you step by clarified step, and what's more, doesn't just focus on the typical areas that the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowly focused person would know about. DuQuette actually touches on all three of the phases that Kelly and Dee worked through, and does through from the perspective of someone who is able to relate to a person just starting to learn. Excellent Work

5 out of 5 stars This is the only book on Enochian shows anything!!!!!!   September 19, 2008

Really, this is the only book in all the bull that is out there that tells you how to use Enochian magick. This book explains it. I have gotten several books on enochian and all of them were a disapointment. All of them told you the history of enochian, how powerful it is, ect ect but the way to use it was always missing. Finally it is explained here and even perfected from the original Golden Dawn limited form to a system that is practical and useful!!!! If you want to learn (really learn enochian); than this is the book you need to get, period!!!!!!SO BUY IT!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Peak experience gained by reading this book   August 24, 2008

I finished reading your book, Enochian Vision Magic, and was deeply
inspired. You've outdone yourself with your research into the work of John Dee. The visions reported in the appendices were particularly intriguing. The chakra vision reported in that woman's letter affected me deeply. I took a nap after finishing your book and had a marvellous hypngogic dream. I was at a doctor's office and was talking to the nurse. Then, I went in to see the doctor and he examined my throat to check for swelling of my saliva glands. I actually felt the pressure of the doctor's fingers. He then disappeared suddenly and before me, I saw a little girl in a long dress staring at me. Evidently, my throat chakra opened and began functioning.

I believe this experience was a direct discovery of my anima, just as that
woman who wrote the letter in your book encountered her animus. Jung's
depth psychology plays a pivotal role in accurately explaining how many such spiritual visions work. Your honest and direct reporting of magical visions and the methods to achieve them are extremely influential for many people. Thanks.

5 out of 5 stars Necessary Bridge between Dee and the "Gee Dee"   August 2, 2008

Okay, I admit it: I'm a friend of Lon's (something to be proud of actually) and I'm apologizing for getting this review in late---and yet that's a good thing because I can shoot the two nasty reviews out of the water---but first, what's good and unique about this leventy-leventh book on 'How to Do Enochian'?
Lon's book creates a bridge between, and a synthesis of, the divergent "Dee Purist" and "G.D./Crowley" schools of Enochian magick. These two different approaches to the same material have been steadily drifting apart since the 1970's magical revival. Actually there was no reason for this. The Golden Dawn's contribution was mainly in working out the complex inner correspondences of the watchtower tablets, a legacy that can be integrated into the earlier system or vise versa. Some Deeish Enochian nit-pickers will disagree but in the complex Enochian universe we can't please everybody--and yet most practical Enochian magicians will benefit by the fusion of the two systems. In line with that, Lon's clear, cogent and friendly writing style makes this brain-buster of a subject actually come alive and make you want to head for the workshop to start building traditional equipment.
Is the book a "Must Have" for all working and aspiring Enochian magicians? Yes, I believe it is.
Now what about those two negative customer reviews? The guy who wants to bundle his video with a book he gives a one-star rating must have a one-star video to bundle the book with! That in itself should be sufficient to dispose of that one. The other fellow is not only wrong about these being "advance" reviews, he doesn't understand that books are always circulated in advance for review to other writers in the field. Their reviews are often favorable out of professional courtesy. If they don't like the book they simply won't review it. Frankly, such reviews are more valuable on a complex technical subject than those of "Mr.Average" who wouldn't know an Enochian from a Mohican.
So lets give Lon a big round of applause for his contribution to modern Enochian study and practice--especially practice. And you can see Maestro DuQuette himself, appearing as the sage Hermes Trismegistus on top of mystical Mt. Shasta in our new DVD Beyond Lemuria --also from Amazon.
