A comprehensive resource on the Magical Language November 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the most complete work on this mystically vital subject. The author has included Qabalistic dictionaries from some of the greatest teachers of the past as well as covering the Rosicrucian and mystical documents of years gone by. Here it is, for the first time in one comprehesive work. This is simply a must for anyone who wants to study the Qabalah, the foundational System of Mysticism in the West. -- Paul A. Clark author of the Broken Seal and Steward of the fraternity of the Hidden Light.
Must Have Gematria Reference Book September 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gematria is the esoteric science that combines numerology and the alphabet. A key part of Kabbalistic practice, gematria allows a for a deep glimpse into the occult ordering of the Cosmos and a method for penetrating deeply into the mysteries of the spiritual realms.
Wade Coleman is an experienced ceremonial magician, an expert in the casting of astrological talismans and an authority on the use of gematria. In Sepher Sapphires, volumes I & II, Coleman lays out the numerical correspondences of every number from 1 to 1000, allowing for easy research and for the application of this powerful Kabbalistic tool in magical and esoteric practice.
While not for beginners, scholars of gematria and Kabbalah, as well as practitioners of Kabbalistic magic will find this an excellent reference work.
An excellent comprehensive reference September 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wade Coleman's Treatise on Gematria is a must have reference on gematria for those interested in the Western Mystery Tradition. For those students of Paul Foster Case and the B.O.T.A. it is especially valuable for its elaboration of Hebrew and Greek words and phrases found in the correspondence lessons of PFC. One caveat: It is not a substitute for one's own work in this endeavor. Case himself advised the student to make his or her own gematria index and it is through this that the words, correspondences and meanings can find expression and relevance in the consciouness of the student. However few of us will be so moved to do such an exhaustive research as Wade has provided us, and for this we can all be grateful for this addition to our libraries and its aid to our work.
Most Comprehensive Gematria Reference Available Today September 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These two volumes contain the most comprehensive gematria reference available today. There are thousands of entries for numbers 1 to 1000 ( and also quite a few up to 144,000 or so ). Contains a great deal of material from unpublished sources finding its way into print for the very first time. Copious references to sources greatly distinguishes this reference from others in the same field. The 19 appendixes contain many related aspects, i.e. gematria tables, 32 paths of wisdom, magic squares, the divine proportion, gematria of the Shem ha-Mephorish, 32 Paths of Wisdom, Tarot, etc.
A "must have" reference for any serious student of the Western Mystery Tradition.
