5 out of 5 stars the holy secret   November 18, 2008
This is a wonderful book. This author's previous book is also really great: The Peacegiver. Both books are so easy to read you don't want to put them down. Concepts are so easy to identify with and so eloquently yet simply explained. I purchased these books for all my married children to keep on their bookshelves to be re-read over and over. They offer help in understanding basic gospel doctrine in bible story presentation. Take you into the story and you are actually a character. You actually experience what is being explained. Really enjoyed both of these books.

5 out of 5 stars The great Truth all questions answered   October 24, 2008
This book is very infomative. It answers and makes clear many many things in the bible, which were very difficult to understand.
A wonderful book.

5 out of 5 stars Another Ferrell book with life-changing insights   September 29, 2008
James L. Ferrell's style of teaching via the portrayal of intense personal interviews and spiritual experiences may not appeal to everyone, but I find it to be very effective. He conveys profound truths relative to our inner lives as disciples, helping us to evaluate our faith, feelings and attitudes regarding such vital doctrines as forgiveness and true submission to God's will. Books such as The Holy Secret, The Peacegiver, and The Anatomy of Peace bear re-reading for greater understanding.

Wonderful and inspiring! It is like a REALLY good Sunday school lesson that leaves you with so much to ponder and pray about and the best part is you can go back over and re-read it and drink it in. One of the BEST books I have ever read! I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed The Peacegiver and loved the Holy Secret. There is a lot to digest but he is a good writer and I couldn't put it down without finishing it.
