The Reality of the Supernatural World September 7, 2008 This book is an outstanding book for anyone who wants to go deeper with the Lord. It is like a how to book about getting into God's presence. I plan to read this book numerous times because you can't absorb it all in one reading. It is a well-spring of knowledge that all Christians should know.
Bad Theology September 2, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The thesis of this book by Todd Bentley is that "Jesus commands us to seek spiritual experience" (26). The very foundation of this book is based on weak exegesis and is in error. Christ tells us to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Experience isn't necessarily bad but must not be the focus of our lives. Bentley throughout the entire text tries to substantiate his thesis with stories of varied experience. Some are founded in Biblical example but most border on the fringe of bizarre and are outside even the faintest stretch of the scripture. There are a few helpful hints concerning ministry to others scattered throughout the book but most of this volume is stories of experience. In light of the recent "revelations" about Bentley I would suggest that you save your money for other more Biblically sound volumes.
Don't believe it August 14, 2008 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
Unfortunately Bentley is a lying loser who picked up his act from watching guys like Benny Hinn and other showman. HE RECENTLY LEFT HIS WIFE AND FAMILY. Buyer Beware!
Living a Supernatural Life July 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The reality of a Christian life is that the Holy Spirit gives to each of us His Gifts in the number as He Wills, and with His Gifts is His Power to serve faithfully the Body of Believers. Todd Bentley's prophetic book is a lesson-study for all Christians who want to grow spiritually in a strong manner. Read this timely book and learn to live the prophetic life.
Just read your bible,it is enough! July 22, 2008 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
I was so into the whole 3rd wave movement at first, but coming from an occult background I have really been amazed by the similarities between the two. Listen to me,I do not claim to be a bible scholar(only been Christian for about 4 years)but I discerned rather quickly what the whole basis of this move is based on, and that is selfish empowering of self, while using God as a cover for it all.God loves us, and he can do anything he wants, but do you really think he would allow people to profit so much, tell false prophecies, holy laughter(which is not edifying at all),trespass into "heaven"or some spiritual realm. Please stay away from the whole movement, just read the bible,it is enough.God does not have to be flashy like the counterfeits.
