Product Description
In Brad Thor's highest-voltage thriller to date, Scot Harvath must race to locate an ancient secret that has the power to stop militant Islam dead in its tracks.

June 632 A.D.: Deep within the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca, the Prophet Mohammed shares with his closest companions a final and startling revelation. Within days, he is assassinated.

September 1789: U.S. minister to France Thomas Jefferson, charged with forging a truce with the violent Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast, makes a shocking discovery - one that could forever impact the world's relationship with Islam.

Present day: When a car bomb explodes outside a Parisian cafe, Navy Seal turned covert Homeland Security Operative Scot Harvath is thrust back into the life he has tried so desperately to leave behind.

Saving the intended victim of the attack, Harvath becomes party to an amazing and perilous race to uncover a secret so powerful that militant Islam could be defeated once and for all without firing another shot, dropping another bomb, or launching another covert action. But there are powerful men who are determined that Mohammed's mysterious final revelation continue to remain hidden forever.

Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "quite possibly the next coming of Robert Ludlum," Brad Thor takes listeners across the globe on a heart-pounding chase where the stakes are higher than they have ever been before.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME BOOK! I hope his next book is a direct sequal to this book.   December 23, 2008

THIS IS AN AWESOME BOOK!! I really liked it and at times was getting addicting at times, however there were major areas in the book that I was finding boring, probably because I wasn't reading it regularly everyday. Currently, I have a friend of mine who has recently started reading this book and he loves it like anything and is finishing on a very exceedingly greater pace than I did. He claims its the best book he ever read. The ending was interesting, since it starts getting disappointing, but at the very end of the book the disappointment vanishes away, since the last revelation isn't permanently lost, but is in safe hands. I hope his next book further continues the story about the lost revelation. I really WISH there was such a last revelation PERSONALLY....

5 out of 5 stars Reminiscent of The Da Vinci Code   December 16, 2008

I will say this book is a definite page turner. From the moment I started reading it to the last page I had a hard time putting the book down. Brad Thor is a great story teller and knows how to keep you glued to his books. This is the first Brad Thor book that I have read and the lead character in this book does have some history in many of Brad Thor's other books. But with that said I was able to jump right in and follow the story very easily. The recaps put in the are enough to help those like me who have not read any previous books catch up on what is going on and yet small and concise so that those who have read the books do not feel like the lead character's history is being beat to death just for the benefit of new readers.

A word of caution for the politically correct: You probably won't like reading this book because it does take a fictional twist on the history of the Muslim world. If something like that doesn't bother you and you enjoy thrillers than I recommend you pick up this book!

4 out of 5 stars Good   December 8, 2008

This book was good. It is outside of the genre that I would usually choose, but when a friend loaned it to me I listened to her advice and read it. In the beginning I had to keep reminding myself why I was bothering to read it, but by the time I got into the story I really felt involved in the plot and I felt a connection to the characters. Still not my favorite genre, but a good read nonetheless.

5 out of 5 stars Brad Thor is outstanding   November 9, 2008

As far as thrillers go this was very good. The characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like that kind of thriller read the `Soft Target` books by Conrad Jones. They are unputdownable!! Back to the review, ten out of ten.

3 out of 5 stars Average spy thriller   November 2, 2008

This is a very average spy thriller. It's OK for a few hours of entertainment but nothing more.
